Cleanroom Panel Quote Comparison: A Purchasing Worksheet

To compare cleanroom panel quotations, first make the drawing revision, quantity basis, panel construction and supply boundary the same. Then compare the quoted price. A lower panel rate does not answer whether profiles, openings, packing, installation or delivery are included.

This worksheet helps a purchasing team record those differences before placing an order. It is a comparison aid; the accepted quotation and contract define the actual supply.

1. Compare the same construction

Record the proposed core, facing, thickness, panel dimensions and edge connection. Ask each supplier to identify the exact construction covered by the quotation. If a requirement needs a test report or other document, request evidence for that construction.

Identify the quoted panel construction. A sample photograph does not establish a performance rating.

2. Write down the quantity basis

Attach the same drawing revision to each enquiry. Ask how wall areas, ceiling areas, openings, cut pieces and any spare materials are counted. Record the supplier’s measurement basis beside the quantity rather than assuming that every square-metre price uses the same calculation.

3. Use a quote comparison worksheet

Compare Record for each offer
Panel construction Core, facing, thickness, dimensions, joint and the quoted product reference.
Quantity Drawing revision, measured areas, treatment of openings and any separate cut-piece or spare allowance.
Profiles and accessories Which corners, channels, connectors, hangers, trims, sealants and fixings are included, excluded or supplied by others.
Doors, windows and openings Separate schedules, frame interfaces and the responsibility for preparing each opening.
Packing and delivery Pack arrangement, protection, delivery destination, quoted delivery terms and unloading responsibility.
Installation and acceptance Supply only or an agreed installation package; required drawings, documents, inspections and acceptance responsibilities.

Copy the rows into your purchasing comparison and add one column for each supplier. Mark each item included, excluded, by others or to be confirmed. Keep the open items in the comparison until the responsible party has answered.

4. Compare a complete package

For example, one offer may list panels and profiles while another lists panels only. Keep the panel rates visible, but add the priced missing items to a separate comparison column before comparing package totals. This is an illustrative method, not a statement about a particular supplier’s quotation.

What to send AILV

Send the current layout, panel specification, door and window schedule, quantities, destination and required documents. List unresolved items separately so they can be addressed in the proposal.
